Keezhthali Sree Mahadeva Temple was renowned
Historically important great temple situated  in Thali village of Thalappilly Thaluk in Thrissur District of Kerala State in South India. The village Thali is a panoramic place known for its  rich tradition and great historical importance.
   
  History
Thali  village in Thalappilli Thaluk of  Thrissur district has historical   importance and is belived to be  the headquarter of erstwhile King Cheraman Perumal.  A naturally blessed  village, Thali,  is around 15 km north west of Wadakkancherry in Varavoor Panchayath and  has its own traditional and historical importance.
 
Renovation
As per the astrological calculation, the temple is antique about 2000 years old .As time passed by over the years,the temple ruined and the remnants of old gigantic
Sivalingam and the temple remained and rest of the old glory lost in its entirety.

Foundation stone for 2nd phase of renovation to construct upadevatha temples & chuttambalam at a cost of RS.1.35 crores has been successfully laid by Kanchi KamakotiPeedom Jayendra Saraswati Sankaracharyar on 14.11.11. The work will be started on 30.01.2012. Kindly donate generously for the construction and get blessings of Lord Keezhthali Mahadeva.
